Speaker profile – Dr Jesús Ramírez-Bermúdez
Dr Jesús Ramírez-Bermúdez is a medical specialist in psychiatry and neuropsychiatry, having graduated from the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery (INNN) in Mexico where he now works as a clinician, researcher, and professor. He holds a Doctorate in Sciences from UNAM and serves as a professor of scientific methodology in the Master’s and Doctorate program in Medical Sciences. He is a member of the National System of Researchers of the National Council of Science and Technology.
Dr Ramírez-Bermúdez has published over 100 scientific works in the field of psychiatry and clinical neurosciences on the international stage. His clinical, academic, and scientific work focuses on the study of psychiatric disorders such as psychosis, depression, bipolar disorder, catatonia, and delirium, as well as neurological conditions like autoimmune encephalitis and neurocognitive disorders. He also explores the clinical use of neuroimaging in patients within the neuropsychiatric spectrum. He has received recognitions in Australia (International Neuropsychiatric Association, 2006) and the United States (International Conference on Bipolar Disorders, 2011). He authored the treatise “Principles of Neuropsychiatry” (Mexican Psychiatric Association, 2019) and the textbook “Images in Neuropsychiatry: Lessons from Clinical Neuroscience” (Mexican Psychiatric Association, 2019).
Dr Sanil Rege is a highly qualified consultant psychiatrist and academic, with dual qualifications from the UK and Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK).
