Moreover, key techniques like Socratic questioning and cognitive restructuring are covered, emphasizing their effectiveness in conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

Module 2: The Five-Area CBT Model

Clinicians will explore the Five Area Model, which links situations, thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical sensations. Subsequently, this module focuses on identifying unhelpful thinking styles and applying interventions to address cognitive distortions.

Module 3: Conducting CBT Sessions

Participants are guided through the process of conducting CBT sessions, from building therapeutic relationships to assessing patient suitability. For instance, practical case examples demonstrate how to integrate CBT techniques into clinical practice.

Module 4: Applying CBT Techniques in Practice

This module focuses on practical methods for managing depression and anxiety, including goal setting, behavioural activation, and problem-solving. The case studies help participants refine their ability to reframe patient perspectives effectively.

Module 5: Treating Anxiety Disorders with CBT
In this module, participants will engage with a two-part case study designed to help them reflect on and apply the knowledge gained throughout the course.
